Investment opportunities that bring gains in scale and robust economic results.
We apply latest technologies and innovative business models to accelerate the transition to a sustainable energy mix.
The project, located in the middle of the Brazilian Solar Belt, is fully licensed with a total capacity of 1,058 MWp. The project will offer many development opportunities to the local communities involved, bring clean energy to more than 950,000 homes, and reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 1 million tonnes. Riacho da Serra Phase I will require a total of 3,500 MMBRL in investments and will create more than 2,500 direct and indirect jobs.
Riacho da Serra Fase I is part of a larger solar complex meant to become one of the largest solar PV complexes in Latin America and globally with total capacity exceeding 2 GWp. The whole complex has been designed to reduce costs through shared common infrastructure while enhancing operational flexibility and reliability for all UFV’s in Phases I and II. Phase I is in the municipality of Parnaguá, in the State of Piauí, and is comprised of 20 power plants with a total capacity of 1058 MWp. Phase II is in Santa Rita de Cássia in the State of Bahia, 8 km away from Phase I. This second phase also comprises 20 power plants with a total capacity of 1096 MWp. Commercial operation is planned for January 2025 for Phase I and January 2026 for Phase II.
